Admire nature aboard the Emerald River
Navigating the river Tagliamento in the stretch that marks the natural border between Bibione and Lignano Sabbiadoro is an exciting experience. In the colder months, the banks of this important Alpine river become ever so colourful, delighting our guests during cruises on board the Emerald River boat – Marina Azzurra Resort’s own clubhouse.
We have scheduled two excursions for winter 2022: the first on December 11th, perfect to enjoy the Immaculate Conception weekend, the second on December 30th, to end 2022 in style.
The excursion starts at 11 a.m. and lasts approximately 3 hours. Included during the trip is a lunch of Veneto gastronomy with a seasonal main course and dessert, a glass of wine or prosecco and water. Enjoy the shots of the great international photographers of “Magnum’s Italy”
Not far from the beaches of Bibione and Lignano Sabbiadoro is the medieval town of Portogruaro, a gem whose historic centre, characterised by its ancient mills, the Concordiese National Museum and Venetian-style palaces, becomes even livelier in winter.
If summers in Portogruaro are characterised by the prestigious music festival, the colder months leave room for the international exhibitions and collections hosted at Palazzo Vescovile, which this winter will be home to the exclusive photographic exhibition “L’Italia di Magnum. From Robert Capa to Paolo Pellegrin”.
The exhibition is open for visits from October 8th, 2022 to February 5th, 2023 and brings the great photographers of the Magnum Photos photo agency, founded in New York in 1947, to our area for the first time. This exhibition tells a tale of times gone by through the eyes of the great masters of photography.

Celebrate Christmas with the events in Lignano Sabbiadoro
Lignano Sabbiadoro from 8th December 2022 to 8th January 2023 turns into a real Christmas village on the sea. You can take a stroll surrounded by the scent of hot chocolate and mulled wine in the traditional Christmas market “Lignano Natale d’Amare“, admire the suggestive Sand Nativity and have fun in the seafront ice skating rink.
