Valle Vecchia and the lagoon

The Lagoon, just loved by Ernst Hemingway, and Valle Vecchia situated between Bibione and Caorle, where nature and human effort have created such unique environmental requalification and rinaturalisation that it has been recognized by the European Union to be a protected area and site of community importance. 900 hectares of sandy shore, costal pinewoods and lacustrine areas (where more than 150 bird species have been assessed by ornithologists) have turned this area into an ideal place where sea, lagoon and pinewood help one to discover fl ora and fauna of extraordinary naturalistic and environmental beauty. Visits can be made by bicycle or on foot along natural paths on the edge of the pinewood or along the sea shore or with boat along the Veneto waterway.
